Member US Personal Chef AssociationEven since I was a little kid, I’ve always enjoyed good food.  I remember with great fondness being in the country, picking collard greens, gathering fresh eggs from the chicken coop and eating blackberries that I was supposed to pick and bring home for my mom and grandma to make pies with. The best part of all is licking the bowl with all the leftover food mixture!

USPCA Code of EthicsPrior to pursuing my career in culinary arts, I worked in the medical field as a cardiovascular technologist and sonographer for 20+ years.  In my medical career, I’ve seen so many patients suffer with diabetes, cardiopulmonary diseases and other conditions.  I was convinced that most of these patients can lead healthier lives with good nutrition and healthier eating habits.  My passion for good food and cooking combined with my desire to help people eat healthier inspired me to change careers and become a personal chef.  

My training and experience includes attending the UNLV Professional Chef Certification Program in Culinary Arts in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have completed the ServSafe training and certification program which is the most recognized food safety certification in the U.S. today.  The ServSafe program was created by the food service industry, for the food service industry, and leads the way in setting high food safety standards.   I have received hands-on training with highly acclaimed restaurants and chefs in the Las Vegas area.  I’m continuing my education in food and wine pairings and frequently visit wineries in various wine regions.     

CPC - Certified Personal ChefAs a personal chef, I would like to impact people’s lives by helping them eat healthy, nutritious and tasty meals.  I would like to bring the joy of good food to families, just like what my mom and my grandma did to me when I was young. I would like to conduct cooking classes for small groups of friends in their homes and their own kitchens. I would like to introduce people to food and wine pairing.  Catering small parties would be fun too. I also welcome the opportunity to work with health clubs to develop menus and prepare food for athletes in training, bodybuilders, future marathoners, and others with similar goals. Lastly, I would like to help provide senior citizens with good quality and nutritious meals.
